傳感器線圈中感應的電壓在表頭中顯示出來,如果傳感器按上述方式連接,指針擺動方向可顯示電流方向,即只有電流流出的這根電纜指針向一邊偏,這根就是要找的電纜。所有其它電纜只流過返回電流,指針向另一邊偏、或無脈動電流,指針不偏轉。接收機上的放大調節器可調整信號強度 。
